This tour will take you Kibale Forest National Park which is a home to the biggest number of primates in east Africa alongside chimpanzees, other primates include olive baboons, lhoest monkeys, red tail monkeys, colobus monkeys, mangabey, and several bird species all can be accessed as one experience the Uganda chimpanzee trekking. Later after kibale forest, you proceed to Bwindi Forest national park famous for gorillas tracking; experience the best of Uganda gorilla tracking as you ascend the valleys in search for the gentle giants. The forest also consists of other wildlife such as the forest elephants, several birds and plant species.

Your 5-Day ITINERARY

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

The Barabara Driver Guide will come pick you up after your breakfast to start this thrilling safari that goes through the lush country side of Mityana, mubende, Kyenjojo, Fort portal town to the famous Kibale forest national park with a Lunch stop and later proceed to the Lodge for a rest.

Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp | Meals: Lunch - Dinner | Drive Time: 6hr.

Day 2: Chimps Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

On this Day after breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing and after head into kibale forest in search for the chimpanzees, kibale is a habitant of other primates such as the monkeys and baboons. Upon meeting the chimpanzee, you will spend a maximum of an hour with them while interacting and taking photos. Later return to your lodge for a relaxation and lunch. After lunch you will head for a scenic nature walk at bigodi swamps searching for butterflies and several bird species.

Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch - Dinner | Drive Time: Approx. 30 minutes.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Calmly, you will enjoy your breakfast after check out of the Lodge and we proceed to southern Bwindi as enjoy the beautiful scenery of Western Uganda with a stop in Mbarara or Kabale for lunch. We then continue to Bwindi for the ultimate gorilla experience.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa community Experience

After our first meal of the day, we drive to the headquarters where we join other trekkers for the activity briefing, with ranger guides, we head into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to trek for the Gorillas. The trekking exercise is an awesome activity but it requires a little bit of fitness to be able to transcend through the muddy slopes especially during the rainy season when the terrain slippery. Continue to the forest and upon meeting the gorillas you will spend a maximum of one hour with the Gorillas. You are encouraged to carry enough water, sunglasses, rain coats, hats, and sturdy shoes. You will be allowed to be with the gorillas for only one hour and after return for lunch and a relaxation.

Later we head for the Batwa community visit where you will discover a lot about their culture and customs and later back return to the lodge

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Kigali or Entebbe

Early in the morning after breakfast, you check out of the lodge and we drive back to Kampala or head to Kigali Rwanda depending on the confirmed destination. To Kampala we arrive in the evening with a stop in Mbarara for Lunch and at the Equator in Kayabwe. You could also be dropped at the airport if having a scheduled night flight.
