What We Recommend You Bring
Walking Boots for the Forest
Comfortable, sturdy footwear is essential, especially if you’re planning on trekking through forests or rough terrain. Ensure they are well broken in for ease during long hikes.
Sunscreen
Protect yourself from the intense African sun, particularly during the day when temperatures can soar. SPF 30 or higher is recommended.
Insect Repellant
To guard against mosquitoes and other insects, especially during evening activities. A DEET-based repellant works best in tropical regions.
Binoculars
Vital for wildlife viewing. If you’ve booked a Hot Air Balloon Safari or any game drives, binoculars will enhance your experience by bringing the wildlife closer.
Heavy and Light Clothes
The weather can vary, with cool mornings and warm afternoons. Layering with light clothes for the day and heavier clothes for early mornings or evenings will keep you comfortable.
Power Bank
Keep your electronics charged on the go. While some lodges have charging stations, it’s always wise to carry a power bank, especially during safaris.
Camera
Capture memories of your trip! A good quality camera will help you document the incredible landscapes and wildlife, ensuring you have lasting memories of your safari.
